ADMISSION GUIDELINES

Students seeking admission for F.Y. (B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., CS, IT, BMS, BAF) should register at the
University of Mumbai admission portal: https://mumgadmission.samarth.edu.in/

Admission is given as per merit and other norms laid down by the University, Government, and Management from time to time.
Students must also register on the college admission portal: mis.srmcollege.in.

The Principal reserves the right to amend or modify admission guidelines as per instructions received from the Government, University, or Management. Any changes will be notified on the Notice Board and College Website.

AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION

  • The student seeking admission should meet the Principal / Concerned Authority along with parents/guardian. Applications sent by post or by hand through others will not be entertained.
  • Students should pay the fees in convenient installments as mentioned on the admission portal.
  • The fees for the second semester must be paid at the beginning of the semester.
  • If a student needs relaxation in the payment time, an application must be submitted to the Principal in the prescribed format. Relaxation may be granted for genuine reasons.
  • In case of any change in fees, the same will be notified as and when received from the University or Government.
  • Employed students must mention details such as salary and duty hours in the admission form and submit an NOC from their employer.
  • Students must maintain a minimum 75% attendance in Lectures / Tutorials / Practicals. Failure to maintain attendance may result in cancellation of admission.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

F.Y. B.A. / B.Com. / B.Sc.

Admission is subject to availability of seats. Candidates must have passed the
H.S.C. (SYJC) examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board
or any equivalent examination recognized by the University of Mumbai.

Students from other boards or universities must submit a
Provisional Eligibility Certificate issued by the University of Mumbai along with migration certificate, statement of marks and passing certificate within two months of admission.

F.Y. I.T. / C.S.

Candidates must have passed the HSC (XII Science) examination with Mathematics as one subject and obtained:

  • Minimum 45% aggregate marks for Open category
  • Minimum 40% aggregate marks for Reserved category

F.Y. BMS / B.Com (A&F)

Candidates must pass HSC (XII Standard) examination with:

  • 45% aggregate marks for Open category
  • 40% aggregate marks for Reserved category

S.Y. / T.Y. (All Programs)

Students coming from other colleges affiliated with the University of Mumbai must submit a
No Objection Certificate (NOC) with PRN from the previous college.
Admission will be confirmed only after submission of the Transfer Certificate (T.C.).

A limited number of seats may be available in certain subjects for students seeking admission to Second or Third Year.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION

Students must submit original documents with attested photocopies for verification.

For F.Y. B.A. / B.Com. / B.Sc. / IT / CS / BAF / BMS

  1. Original HSC Marksheet and Leaving Certificate with two photocopies.
  2. SSC Marksheet photocopy.
  3. Caste Certificate and Caste Validity Certificate (if applicable).
  4. Aadhar Card photocopy.
  5. Special Backward Class documentary evidence (if applicable).
  6. ABC ID generated through DigiLocker.
  7. Eligibility Certificate (for students from boards other than Maharashtra State Board).
  8. Physically challenged candidates must submit a valid certificate issued by competent authority.
  9. If original HSC marksheet is submitted to another college, a certificate endorsed by the Principal must be produced.

For S.Y. / T.Y. B.A. / B.Com. / B.Sc. / IT / CS / BAF / BMS

  1. Mark sheets of Semester I to IV with one photocopy and Aadhar card copy.
  2. Semester I to II marksheets for certain programs with photocopy and Aadhar copy.
  3. For new admissions to S.Y. / T.Y., NOC with enrollment details from previous college is required.
