Incubation Center at SRMM, Kudal
Background:
The Incubation Center at SRMM, Kudal, established in January 2023, has been a hub of innovation and collaboration, operating in partnership with Vyosim Tech Lab, Bengaluru, under the leadership of Mr. Bijal Mehta.
Key Milestones:
- Establishment: The Incubation Center commenced its operations in January 2023, utilizing T1 & T2 classrooms for its activities.
- Premises Transition: On 26 January 2024, the center was relocated to its dedicated premises on the 3rd floor of the SRMM, Kudal building, providing a more conducive environment for creativity and development.
Purpose:
- On Job Training (OJT) is a compulsory part of NEP 2020
- To give an industry exposure to our students
- To form a strategic alliance between Academia and Industry for Research and Development
- To create the framework for an ongoing, successful incubation and technology innovation centre and a start-up cell
- To encourage our students to participate actively in this project and make them aware about the golden opportunities.
Objectives of the program:
- Establish the physical office facilities for the incubation centre including civil work, interiors, and technology infrastructure
- Involve faculty members in the most needed program
- Promote the benefits of entrepreneurship and provide guidance along with a roadmap for becoming an entrepreneur and/or part of a start-up team within the campus
- Include students and faculty from multiple departments across the spectrum of academic programs including Commerce, Arts, Computer Science, IT, Accounting & Finance, Economics, Mathematics, BMS, and so on
- Establish an “Idea Lab” framework to evaluate and nourish new entrepreneurial ideas which can be researched, pursued, and scaled by developing a technology and/or digital marketing platform, from ideation to an actual “Start-up”
- Conduct hackathons along with a rewards and recognition program for specific projects and achievements
- Collaborate with other academic institutes for joint R&D and project management and companies from Government and Private sector
- Improve the Employability of participating students
Projects:
The Incubation Center has been actively engaged in fostering AI-based projects, including but not limited to:
- Wowleads: A project aimed at revolutionizing lead generation through advanced AI algorithms.
- AllTeam: A collaborative platform leveraging AI for optimizing team dynamics and productivity.
Human Resources:
Throughout the academic year 2023-24, the Incubation Center has seen significant growth in its team:
- Employees: The center currently hosts a team of 22 dedicated professionals, contributing their expertise to various projects and initiatives.
- Interns: A total of 163 interns have been engaged in the center’s activities, providing them with valuable hands-on experience and exposure to real-world projects.

The Incubation Center remains committed to fostering innovation, nurturing talent, and driving technological advancements. With the support of Vyosim Tech Lab and the dedication of its team members, the center is poised to continue making significant strides in the field of AI and beyond.
