Placement and Career Counseling Cell

The Placement and Career Counseling Cell plays a vital role in guiding students toward successful career development. It acts as a bridge between students and the employment sector by providing information, training, and opportunities that enhance employability. The cell works throughout the year to identify potential job avenues, organize capacity-building activities, and support students in making informed career decisions.

Objectives

  1. To provide proper career guidance and counseling to students.
  2. To organize training programs, workshops, and placement camps to enhance employability skills.
  3. To build strong linkages with industry, government bodies, and universities for better career opportunities.
  4. To assist final-year students in securing suitable job placements.
  5. To create awareness about higher education opportunities, competitive exams, and skill-development schemes.

1. Career Motivation Workshop

Date: 11/07/2025
Nature of Activity: Motivational workshop on career planning and goal-setting
Participants: 226 students

 

Summary:
    This session focused on inspiring students to identify their strengths, set career goals, and understand future job trends. Students were guided on how to approach competitive exams, skill development, and effective career decision-making. The workshop received an excellent response, and students actively engaged in the interaction.

2. Guest Lecture on “Career Opportunities in Civil Services”

Date: 15/07/2025
Nature of Activity: Guest Lecture
Participants: 135 students


Summary:
      An expert resource person delivered an insightful lecture on UPSC, MPSC, and other civil service examinations. Students were introduced to exam patterns, preparation strategy, time management techniques, and recommended study material. The session motivated many students to consider civil services as a promising career option.

3. Campus Placement Drive – Aye Finance Limited

Date: 01/08/2025
Nature of Activity: Campus Placement Drive
Participation: 37 students appeared
Outcome:

  • 11 students selected
  • 2 students successfully joined the organization
    Summary:
    The Placement Cell organized a recruitment drive in collaboration with Aye Finance Limited. Students were assessed on communication skills, aptitude, and interpersonal qualities. The drive provided real-time exposure to corporate hiring processes and resulted in successful placements.

4. TCS BPS Hiring Drive – Registration Completed

Date: 30/09/2025
Nature of Activity: Employment Registration for TCS BPS Drive

 

Summary:
      The cell facilitated the registration of eligible students for the TCS Business Process Services (BPS) recruitment. Guidance was provided regarding eligibility, documentation, exam pattern, and interview preparation. Students were encouraged to participate in the national-level hiring initiative.

5. Internship Opportunities through Internshala

Activity: Submission of internship data for all SY students

 

Summary:
    To enhance practical exposure and skill-building, the Placement Cell coordinated with Internshala to shortlist internship opportunities suitable for Second-Year students. The cell successfully submitted the required internship data of all SY students, enabling them to access remote and on-site internships across multiple domains.
