GREEN CLUB DEPARTMENT
The Green Club of our college is established with the vision of promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students. It serves as a platform for youth to actively participate in eco-friendly initiatives, conservation activities, and campaigns that nurture a sense of responsibility towards nature. The club organizes tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, awareness programs, and workshops on green living to inspire collective action for a cleaner and healthier environment.
Objective
- Promote Environmental Awareness – To create awareness among students about environmental issues and the importance of sustainable living.
- Encourage Eco-friendly Practices – To inspire students and staff to adopt habits like waste segregation, energy saving, and plastic reduction.
- Conservation of Biodiversity – To organize activities like tree plantation, gardening, and protection of local flora and fauna.
- Community Participation – To involve students in outreach programs such as cleanliness drives, eco-campaigns, and awareness rallies.
- Skill Development – To provide opportunities for students to learn practical skills in conservation, recycling, and environmental management.
- Research and Innovation – To encourage eco-projects, green ideas, and innovative solutions for sustainable development.
Create a Green Campus – To work towards making the college campus more eco-friendly through initiatives like green audits, rainwater harvesting, and energy conservation.

Activities of Green Club in College
The Green Club organizes a variety of activities throughout the academic year to encourage environmental consciousness and eco-friendly practices among students and staff. The major activities include:
- Tree Plantation Drives – Planting trees and maintaining greenery in and around the campus and in surrounding area.
- Cleanliness Campaigns – Conducting campus and community cleaning programs under “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.”
- Awareness Programs – Organizing seminars, guest lectures, poster exhibitions, and rallies on environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution control.
- Eco-friendly Practices – Promoting waste segregation, plastic-free campus, rainwater harvesting, energy conservation.
- Celebration of Environmental Days – Observing World Wetland Day, Tiger Day, World Environment Day, Earth Day and Wildlife Week with special activities and competitions.
- Workshops & Training – Conducting workshops on Climate change and Biodiversity conservation
- Green Audits and Surveys – Encouraging students to conduct surveys and audits of energy use, water consumption, and waste management in the college.
- Community Outreach – Extending green initiatives to nearby schools, villages, and local communities through awareness drives and collaborative projects.
- Student Competitions – Organizing essay writing, debates, poster-making, quiz, and project presentations on environmental themes.
Nature Trails and Excursions – Arranging field visits to forests, wildlife sanctuaries, botanical gardens, and eco-parks for practical exposure.



The Nature Club of the college bears responsibility of spreading awareness among the students about current environments problems the world is faced with. The Nature Club creates the team of enthusiastic volunteers and nature lovers who are committed to work for protecting the beauty and bounty of the nature, its natural resources and to adapt sustainable lifestyles for better future for mankind and other creatures.
