Support
Dr. Anil Nerurkar, Vice Chairman of K.M.S.P. Mandal and his friends from USA are supporting the functioning of Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre.
Our college has established MOU with
1) I CREATE(INDIA) in November 2019.
2) Maharashtra Center For Entrepreneurship Development, (MCED) Sindhudurg in December 2019.
Aim – To ignite creative thinking and nurture entrepreneurial instincts in students of the college as well as people in the locality.
How to accomplish Aim
Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre hopes to achieve this by conducting stimulating workshops, competitions and interactive sessions with eminent personalities who are role models when it comes to business development.
Emphasis is placed on helping people to consider the desirability and feasibility of starting a business or acting entrepreneurially as an employee - and to develop the ability to cope with failure.
Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre functions with two modes
1)Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell)
The primary reason for developing an E-Cell is to bring students together to get involved in the entrepreneurship development process. The E-Cell is typically coordinated and run by the students, with some support (faculty time and/or logistical support) from the institution. The main purpose of E-Cell is to encourage students to think in terms of being job creators instead of job seekers. Activities conducted would typically include motivational talks by successful alumni and entrepreneurs, exhibitions, debates, quiz competitions, awareness seminars by professionals, pitching “business ideas” in the “idea competition” etc.
2)Business Incubation Center
BIC is focused on helping the entrepreneur “take the idea to the market”. The emphasis is on market research, various kinds of surveys, target market and customer identification, determining the economics of the business in terms of cost computation, price determination, assessing cash needed etc. It helps the entrepreneur develop a detailed plan of action and blueprint with verifiable milestones and measurable yard sticks. BIC may also be involved in providing training in entrepreneurial skills that will lead up to the preparation of a meticulously thought through business plan.
