M.Sc. Information Technology (IT) focuses on making a student technically competent in the theory of Information Technology, its application and research related aspects. The programme aims to make students eligible for IT Industry as well as research programmes.
M.Sc. IT programmes are designed to impart theoretical as well as application knowledge to the students and prepare them for research in the field. Although most of the concepts and subjects are similar to most computer courses, however, some subjects are different. Students are also expected to submit a thesis and project at the end of the programme.

Candidates who have completed their graduation from a recognised university or institution in a related subject with a minimum overall aggregate of 50% or more are eligible to apply for the M.Sc information technology admission at various reputed universities/institutions.The eligibility criteria for this course is graduation in B.Sc. - I.T., B.Sc. (Computer Science) OR B.Sc. (Mathematics).
